Only problem is when I go to Hangman's Alley, I end up with a half dozen people (ex-Companions) talking to me as I try to walk through the area. Go to Power > Miscellaneous to find the item, and keep it mind that it requires a generator to operate. To avoid confusing myself, I just send ALL my ex-Companions to Hangman's Alley (except Dogmeat and Codsworth are at my zero-settler Red Rocket personal base). Deacon could be sent back to his starting location ~if~ the Railroad is still intact and likewise if the BoS is unharmed, Danse should be able to return to his post either on the Prydwyn or at the police station. and of course Preston, Dogmeat and Codsworth ~can~ be sent to their starting locations since they are actual settlements. Some, like Strong, Cait, and possibly Curie would not want to go back to their starting points (although I don't see why Curie could not live in the populated areas of Vault 81). However Dogmeat has no opinions on anything.

Which yes, he absolutely is a companion as all dogs are. That goof would be the fact that Dogmeat counts as an entire companion.

Nick, MacReady, and Piper, anyway, should be able to be sent to their original locations, I would think.
